Start with a lovely breakfast – full English of course! in one of the cafes in the town centre – Partners or Motte and Bailey perhaps? Spent time browsing the antique markets – Nineveh House and Bridge Antiques. The books shops – Kim’s Bookshop is filled with many second-hand books and the Book Ferret has a very varied selection for everyone’s taste. Whilst in the High Street what about some wine tasting and cocktail making at Digby Fine Wines – although this may need to be booked. Maybe time for a cup of tea and cake at Waterside Café or the Moathouse. The children would enjoy time in the playground in Mill Road.
Even if it is a little chilly, there is plenty to see and do in Arundel. Wrap up warm and take a stroll round the town and call in at the many independent shops. Including some great places for getting unusual and individual Christmas Gifts like they have at Dinky Donkey Delights and particularly for the children at Squibbly Biskit. Or if you are in town on the 3rd Saturday of each month then visit the Farmers Market in the town centre. A log fire and great food and drinks are found at both the Red Lion and the Norfolk Arms. Digby Fine English offers cocktail making and wine tasting held in their lovely tasting rooms but this may need to be booked.
