D-Day 80 Commemorations, 6th June 2024

The 80th anniversary of D-Day falls on 6 June 2024, when the Arundel community will come together to commemorate the bravery and sacrifice of those Allied forces, in an evening of music, reflection and thanks.

Arundel Town Council is hosting a community event at the historic Hiorne Tower by kind permission of His Grace the Duke of Norfolk, involving local groups, churches and the troops of the 137 (Java) Battery.

The evening will end with the reading of the International Tribute alongside the lighting of the Arundel Beacon on the top of Hiorne Tower at 9.15pm.
