Whether you are wanting a leisurely wander around the shops within a welcoming and safe environment, or want to escape to the River Arun on your paddle board, among stunning scenery, Arundel in West Sussex could be your Destination.
Arundel Chamber of Commerce has worked with local filmmakers BeechtoBeach to create an inspiring film “Arundel is your Destination” which showcases what the town on the edge of the picturesque South Downs National Park has to offer. The film, which will be launched on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 highlights Arundel’s independent shops such as Fanny Adams which sells clothes; Retroesque which offers vintage & retro clothing; to recently-opened Scent Lounge and Pallant of Arundel which supports small food and drink producers. Cafes and restaurants, featured in the film include Motte & Bailey in the town centre to the Brewhouse – home to Arundel Brewery – on the edge of the town.
Also featured in the film is Brooklands Barn, which hosts yoga aswell as nutrition, spa and reflexology retreats; Digby Fine English – where you can relax while sampling their award-winning English wines; Swanbourne Lake and Hiorne Tower in Arundel Park – the perfect places for a walk and a wonderful view; the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust – now home to pelicans; Arundel Lido with its stunning view of the castle; Arundel Museum and miles and miles of country lanes that are suitable for cycling.
Sharon Blaikie, Chair of Arundel Chamber of Commerce commented: “2020 has been the year of the Staycation and we wanted to create a film to support local businesses and remind people what a great place Arundel is, with its expanse of outdoor spaces to enjoy as well as a fascinating local high street.”
She continues: “The Chamber has worked hard and continues to ensure that Arun- del is made a safe place to shop. The businesses have taken great measures to welcome us and to keep us safe (at a time when it is more important than ever.
She went on to say: “We are delighted with the film, which is the second one we have worked on with BeechtoBeach over the past few months – the other being “Arundel is here for you”, however watch out for our third collaboration which will focus on “Arundel is Christmas”. We also want to extend our thanks to thanks to Arundel Town Council for their support.”
