Arun Valley line closure – 14 to 22 August 2021

Update from Network Rail –

The Arun Valley line improvement project is part of our Sussex upgrade to improve reliability, capacity and safety on the Arun Valley line.

For nine days this summer – from Saturday 14 August to Sunday 22 August – no trains will run along the Arun Valley line, from Arundel to Three Bridges, including Horsham and the Mole Valley line, between Horsham and Dorking.

There will also be weekend line closures before and after this nine-day period where main engineering works will take place. Dates for weekend closures are:

Sunday 11 July

Saturday 17 to Sunday 18 July

Saturday 31 July to Sunday 1 August

Saturday 4 September to Sunday 5 September

Sunday 3 October

During this time, we will work hard to carry out essential renewals and major upgrades on the railway infrastructure. We advise passengers to plan ahead for journeys during this time. We will share further information on alternative travel options before the summer.

Please visit our website for more information about the Arun Valley line improvement project.
